Welcome Address by the Ambassador of Hungary Dear Visitor, I warmly welcome the establishment of the website of the Cyprus-Hungary Business Association and I sincerely hope that you will find it a useful tool that helps to develop your business activity. Hungary and Cyprus has had excellent relations since the birth of the independent Republic of Cyprus. We have established the necessary legal framework for the development of our bilateral relations, and in a number of fields, most notably in education, we have witnessed a steady interest towards each other. The concurrent accession of Cyprus and Hungary to the European Union has made interactions between our countries even easier. New possibilities have opened to further develop our economic, trade and financial cooperation. By creating this new website all the stakeholders will have more and more adequate and direct information, a necessary precondition for a successful business, about the new opportunities in the fields of investments and trade between our countries. Businesses depend more and more on the use of internet that can quickly provide information in an easy and cost efficient way. Thus we hope that using this media for the dissemination of information will enhance the knowledge of our business communities on one another. The use of English language on this website can also contribute to the lowering of the language barrier that often hinders economic interaction. The Cyprus-Hungary Business Association and the Embassy of Hungary in Nicosia are both committed to provide this site with as much up-to-date information on business opportunities, rules and regulations, as possible in a well structured way, so that you can easily find what is important to you. Welcome Address by the President of the Association Dear Business Friends of Cyprus and Hungary. On behalf of the Cyprus-Hungary Republic Business Association, I welcome you to this website. Here you can find useful information about the Association, its members and the possibilities of doing business in Cyprus and Hungary . Our Association was established under the auspices of the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry in January 2005 with the aim to promote, expand and encourage economic relations between Cyprus and the Hungary Republic. The Association is supported in its efforts by the Embassy of Hungary in Nicosia and the Cyprus Ministry of Commerce, Industry & Tourism. The Association, through its distinguished professional members, encourages “networking” for the promotion and stimulation of business relations and investments in Cyprus and in Hungary. The Website has been created to help bring business people with similar interests together. I hope that visitors will be interested to join the Association and participate in the Association’s business events. Personally, I am delighted to be the President of the Cyprus-Hungary Business Association and I am looking forward to offering my services to the Association and its members, always in close cooperation with our dedicated associates at the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
